State Championship

Awards and Advancement

This tournament will award a 1st and 2nd place Champion and 1st and 2nd place in Robot Performance, Robot Design, Core Values, and Project, as well a Rising All Star Award, Motivate Award, Engineering Excellence Award, and Breakthrough Award. We will also award one Mentor/Coach and one Volunteer.

Post-Season Advancement Process

The top 6 ranked teams will earn the opportunity to advance to events outside South Carolina. Teams will be allowed to select the invite of their choosing based on their Champion’s rank. The selection process will take place during the closing ceremony, after we have awarded our final champion award. For example, our 1st place Champion will called to the high five line to select an invite, followed by our 2nd place Champion, 3rd overall ranked team, and so on.

Please discuss with your team what invite you would accept ahead of the event. You may also have a coach stand near your team during awards to remind them of which invite to accept.

Harbison Cluster (20 minute drive to Dreher) 

Any hotel in this area is about the same, all near shopping areas and good food. Look for hotels near Harbison Blvd. and you'll be in the area.

Please note: When driving toward Dreher from this area Saturday morning you should avoid the "Vista" area as there's a huge market that closes down a large chunk of Main Street and causes traffic backup. If you're getting to Dreher closer to 6:30am, you're probably fine, but 7:00 or later you'll need to plan for closer to a 25-30 minute commute until the market ends at 1:00.
